This image was created for a game I worked on called Tempus Irae. Its an add-on to a Mac gamed called Marathon. Several years later, and Marathon is now playable on the PC using Aleph One. (Download and play - its free and fun!) This image was a "chapter screen" used between the first and second levels to set the scene for where the game's action takes place. The earth and moon were rendered in Lightwave using older versions of the maps you can find on this site, and composited in Photoshop with a hand-painted star backdrop.
